My bikes...

This is long over due (like so many things in my life), but here they are... a few pics of the bikes.

This first one is the RD. It is a very beautiful bike, as bikes go.

Here are a couple of the Katana. I also think this bike is gorgeous.

You really can't see the lines on this bike from this first pic, but trust me... they are nice.

This next pic (and the last I think) shows the lines a bit better. But going through the pics I have, I realize I'm not that happy with them and need more. But I'm posting the two that do the bike some justice.

The last pic here shows the License plate from my truck... BIG FUN. The truck lives up to its plate.

This last pic is my wife's car. I was a little apprehensive about buying any car with a bud vase. But it has turned out to be a good choice. It's a lot of fun. Not much else to say... I'll be posting more pics of my other cars soon. This week is going to be crazy, so it might be a while before I post again.

I'm learning to manage expectations. :)

Is the Beetle "Lil Fun"?
Hey, remember the time you drove your FUN truck up the hill at the bar and through the grass only to meet with a cop asking if that was the definition of your license plate? Yup, this is why I do not have a blog. No one can "out" me on my exploits. Hee hee!

Wow. The Katana's lines are organic; she's almost like a living thing, what with the way the fairing, seat, tank, and fenders flow together. Quite nice.

The RD is looking a lil shopworn, but then again...she IS 30 years old. All in all, I'd say she's in good shape for 30. Thanks for the pic, duly saved and more than likely to appear on my blog in some future war story about biking...

And Lori...thanks for the tale, brief as it was. Got more? ;-)

I have one about your two sons and the Fatty Burrito bus. It makes me laugh so hard I always cry retelling it. One of those brothers is found downtown under that bus after a little too much "drink."

Then there was the time that Sam tried to kill me in Toni's car during daylight hours racing like a bat out of h-ll down Moscow streets. We were not supposed to be together and to die like that would have left years of speculation to our spouses.
I think he was mumbling something about how great that car was, beautiful, fast, sleek but I was too scared an in need of a new "Huggies". His eyebrows were doing that thing they do...you know, kind of helping his eyes stare intensely. He seemed to say, " Aren't we having fun now?"

I have a million Sam stories. He may live to regret this blog. HA!

Lori sez: Then there was the time that Sam tried to kill me in Toni's car during daylight hours racing like a bat out of h-ll down Moscow streets.

Sam himself has a few stories like this...one he told me involved a certain distaff member of the Naval Service who, upon alighting from Sam's car after a cross-town trip in Norfolk, supposedly kissed the ground and swore mightily she'd never ride with him again. Ever.

The Boy only has two speeds, as far as I know..."off" and "on." I'd make a comment on the order of "like father, like..." but I don't believe I ever came close to equaling his motoring exploits.

Now bikes are another story...especially when I was young and stupid(er). But we won't go there. I have an image to uphold.

;-)

Keep comin' with those stories, Lori!!

Sam likes Fatty Burritos?

I'm so glad there aren't any of those bad stories out there about me! I plan on running for office one day and...upon further review...maybe not.

Called a good friend of mine yesterday at his new job in NC. Seems the 1st Sergeant in his new unit was a very close beer-drinking buddy of mine back at Cannon the first time round. We weren't on the phone 30 seconds when he starts into the "remember the time when you and your new camaro were stopped by the SPs..." etc...

Guess I'll never get elected anything. Probably a good thing overall!

Great bike pics Sam...I keep meaning to show the mods I've made to my Ninja...3 day weekend ahead.

Lori... you're killing me.

But I'm smiling. :)

Remember, I got a few stories of my own...

I'm in DC on business right now, but will try and get a post in tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

I'm lovin' that Katana.

My gal has laid down a condition on the next two-wheeler: Anything that showcases the caboose of the female passenger is to be eliminated from consideration. I think she's envisioning something with a rear backrest and a whole bunch of cargo so that her south end (when we're ridin' north) can be left to other motorists' imaginations.

So a bike like that is out of the question. But I can still admire. Looks like one sweet ride.
